I have to admit, this year my family has been very blessed so far.....I got a new job, was recently offered a promotion, a getting a new car and my husband and I are going to Jamaica in less than two weeks for an early wedding anniversary present to ourselves........if I can just get a bun in this oven, we will be complete....our girls are doing good and Shelby is recovering from her emergency hysterectomy. My mom and brother are doing well and so are my amazing little nephews :)

Okay so I like to consider myself on top of fashion trends and am always willing to try new things, however extreme they may be. And I definitely am not too old to rock any of these colors and I hope you guys feel the same way! If you are not as bold, then I just hope you enjoy the reviews of the products.

The kit also includes a black eye pencil (I Want-true matte black), lip gloss top coat (Over Again-silver sparkle glitter) and two eye shadow applicators and a lip gloss applicator. The shadows are all smooth and go on very nice, without a lot of fallout and the lip glosses are also smooth and not sticky. Nail polish did a great job with two applications and it's 3 in the afternoon and still no chips in it and my eye shadow is still in place :)

If there's anything I love more than beauty and crafting, it's candles. There is something about lighting that new candle and watching the flame dance that is so soothing. I always have a candle lit no matter the season in at least one room in my house.

I chose Fresh and Clean (so fresh and so clean, clean). I've gone overboard with my Fall and Christmas Candle selection so far this year and wanted some fresh smells for my vanity.

I wanted to light them all at once last night but I did refrain from doing so and only lit the Lemon Grass one. It is so clean and crisp and exactly what I look for in a candle. Because it is soy based, it is not over powering but I loved when I blew the candle out that there wasn't a huge billowing cloud of smoke that almost knocked me over with like with some other candles.
I am really very impressed. I never really had a great impression of soy based candles providing enough "throw" to fill the room but even for as small as these guys were, they gave a great scent! The jar is rustic and country looking and perfect decor for any room of the house.

My most recent brand campaign is 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil from Apothecary Extracts. I cannot tell you how excited I am to use this, too. One of my bestest (that is a word) friends uses this for everything and swears by its healing properties. I have always wanted to not only try it but become more educated about its uses and benefits.

First, let's talk about what the heck tea tree oil is. Is it really oil from a tree that makes tea?? Just a reminder a blonde is writing this :) The tree is actually called a Melaleuca tree and the larger ones (more than 20 ft tall) are referred to as "tea trees" because of the dark coloration of the water from the shedding tree leaves. The tree is naturally sustainable (chop this baby down and he is coming back!) making it an ideal source for all natural healing, cleaning and beautifying.
They also include a recipe book for 50+ uses for tea tree oil.....who knew?? Well, probably my friend Rachel, that's who!
I honestly had no idea that there were so many uses for this product and how natural and good it was! I am so happy that I received this bottle from Apothecary Extracts and was given the chance to review it :) And that's why I want to share a bottle with ya'll! The bottle is massive and will last well over a year. I am quite the Suzy Homemaker and love to make a lot of my own products so this will be quite beneficial in our home. I have always been a fan of Chapstick. Cherry flavored Chapstick in particular. And yes, I thought it was awesome when Katy Perry made reference to my chapstick in her first song that the world got to hear. I don't like my lips to be chapped, not that anyone does, and I love the nostalgic smell of cherry Chapstick that brings me back to kissing in high school.
There are two types of Hydration Lock Chapsticks.
The first one advertises an end for day and an end for night.
The day end has SPF 12 in it, is ultra conditioning and has no smell to it. It is 40% petroleum. The night end smells INCREDIBLE and of chamomile (my favorite night time scent, next to lavender) and is made with oils and butters to really do some damage control while you are sleeping. I love products that work while you sleep. Makes me feel so accomplished. I have already found myself mixing both ends as I love the chamomile smell so much. It's a mini aromatherapy session while I am at work :)
Here is the next option.
Again, dual ends here so you are getting more for your money, IMO.
The first end is the moisturizing end, although let's be honest here, all the ends are going to moisturize, we are talking about CHAPSTICK here, ya'll! But this tube specifically is designed for its advanced, anti-aging formulas. This end also reduces the appearance of fine lines thanks to ingredients like CoQ10 and hyaluronic filling spheres. I know, slow down Brooke, what am I saying.....basically, that means when the chapstick comes in contact with my lips it fills in the cracks and plumps them up! (Thank you , Google, I am not THAT smart). This end smells like vanilla and is going to be the perfect winter chapstick.
The other end is the revitalizing, renewing end, made with mango butters to condition and soften lips. This end (botanical medley) has a very, very light floral smell to me and is so soothing on my lips. They feel velvety (think Ray Charles voice) and smooth.
Both of these are clear so you can wear them under or over your colored glosses and you are getting two variations on a classic in each tube!
These are really great, affordable options for keeping your lips hydrated and protected this season and I would love to share with you!
