Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint Review
Happy Monday Ya'll!!! And a big, big welcome to all of our new followers! This weekend so many new people joined and I just want to say hello and thank you!! Now that we have made it past the 200 mark, I can get everything ready for the Beauty Giveaway contest!!
As I said in my July Birchbox unboxing post, this past Birchbox was my favorite so far. I was so pleased with all of the brands and samples that I got.
One of the samples I received was Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint. They actually sent me the sample in Deep Bronze. Had it been a warmer summer so far (which I am really upset about, so don't get me started!), I would be super tan and be able to use it. But, alas, it is not so they actually gave me 100 BB points ($10 in the shop!) as a way to make up for it.
Well, they knew what they were doing! Because of that, I made a full size purchase of the product! And this time I got it in Bronze which was a much better summer choice for me.
Here is the difference in the color they sent me and what I bought....
HUGE difference! I may use the darker one for an upcoming contour tutorial so it doesn't go to waste.
Okay, now on to the reason I made the full size purchase. In the summer months, you know you have to switch up the makeup that you wear. I, for one, do it for two reasons. One, I want a lighter foundation on my face since I am sweating sometimes and two, my regular foundation is so darn expensive I don't want to waste it!! Here is my guide to makeup for an oily face.
This product is light to medium coverage depending on how many layers you put on. It did not clog my pores and make me break out, nor was it "sticky" (like some BB creams can be). It feels so light on my face even with more than one layer and it gave me that "glow" that we all want. It's really great! You can get it here!
When I bought it they also had a promo going on where you could get a free Jouer Lip Conditoning Treatment. I snagged that right up!
This product not only plumps up my lips but also minimizes the appearance of fine lines while keeping them hydrated with good stuff like Shea butter.
This is my first time using any Jouer products and I am very pleased with the results. They also have a matte version of this that you can get here. My only critique would be that I wish there was more product in the tube for the price of $38.
Have you used Jouer products before?
I'd love to try more from this brand......What product am I missing out on?
Let me know in the comments below!!
Have a great day!!

Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil Review
The other day I wrote a post about the Caudalie Anti Ox contest I won. I talked about all of the wonderful products they sent me.
Well, let's go back a bit further (after all it is throwback Thursday)......in my Birchbox a couple boxes ago, I had gotten a sample of the Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil. I know it is quite popular nowadays (although this tradition began years ago) to rub oil on your face for cleansing and healing purposes. Read more here.
I, myself, have oily skin so I truly thought it would not benefit me. But, as I usually use all of the products I get in my beauty boxes, I tried it.
Cue the singing birds and falling hearts....I FELL IN LOVE!!
This product is 100% plant based. It supports new cell growth and eliminates toxins. Basically, that means it makes me prettier then I was when I went to sleep :)
This is the first time I have bought the full size bottle. You can, too, here.
I had some breakouts when I tried it and they were gone when I woke up. No other product have I ever used, has given me such dramatic, instant results. And isn't that what we all want? We want what we want when we want it?? Um, yes please!
I had no idea how to use it when I first got the small sample so I just rubbed a bunch on my face because that seemed like a good idea :)
The full size actually came with instructions so now I can pretend I know what I'm doing.
Even though this is expensive, a little is all I need so it will last me while. I also read some reviews and this really got me excited:
Research results:
In a 28-day clinical test on 21 volunteers, after 1 application every night:
- 86% saw detoxified skin
- 100% saw recharged skin
- 100% saw skin recover more easily
- 95% saw smoother skin
- 100% said it adapted to their skin type
In other words, I have a lot to look forward to! It has a very distinct smell, like woodsy, herby, earthy smells. But it actually grows on you. It can be used alone or before your moisturizer. I think it is so moisturizing on it's own though. My skin is supple, bright and clearing up more and more every day. I say clearing up because once I stopped using the sample I was using, I immediately noticed a difference!
Plus it's French and makes me feel really fancy and who doesn't like that? I 100% recommend and love this product. If you got one in your Birchbox and haven't tried it, try it! Hopefully I will get another sample soon and I can give it away in my next giveaway :)
My next upcoming skincare post will be about another brand that I like very much and is my go to when I can't afford Caudalie. That is Simple. A few of my girlfriends have already switched to it so I am excited to share with ya'll!
What are your favorite Caudalie products?
What oils do you use at night? I'd love to hear your ideas!
Let me know in the comments below!

Caudalie Magic Skin Potions
Who would have thunk I would win two Facebook contests in a weeks time but it happened!
I won the Caudalie Anti OXBox contest!! This of course has given me the motivation to enter any and all contests that I come across :)
I wasn't exactly sure what the kit would include. Until about a month ago, I had never heard of the brand Caudalie before. Partly, I am sure, because it is a bit pricey. But I am finally to the age where I do realize that when you pay a bit more for certain products, they help you pay less on other products.
Basically, these skin care products help your face become an even, smooth, clear canvas for your makeup. And who doesn't need a bit of that??
Here are some of what you will and won't find in their products. And they are against animal cruelty and that is very important to me.
Now, the Anti OX box comes with three products that have antioxidants and anti wrinkle properties in them. It also came with a stress ball and a note pad :) So now let's review the Anti OX Box from Caudalie :)
Guess who wanted the ball??
First item up for review is the Anti Wrinkle Defense Serum.
I had gotten this item before in my Birchbox and I fell in love. Its main ingredient is Vitamin C and it brightens, moisturizes and plumps my skin. It doesn't clog my pores and keeps my skin clean and protected. It has a very lovely natural scent, too. Get It Here.
Next, it came with the Anti Wrinkle Protection Fluid.
This is pretty much the same product as the serum, but is more of a lotion type consistency. This also has Vitamin C and sun filters in it. It is never too early to start the war on wrinkles either! Get It Here.
And lastly, it came with the Anti Wrinkle Eye & Lip Cream.
This is a doubly duty product, for both my eyes and lips. Vitamin C and Witch Hazel are the star ingredients. Instantly tightens, smooths and moisturizes. I have been using it on and off for about 3 days now. No dramatic results, but no negative feedback here either.
The one thing that I was really hoping would come in this box was the Overnight Detox Oil. Oh. My. Gosh.
Again, another sample I received from Birchbox and it is truly a magical product! It clears and brightens your skin OVERNIGHT. Literally, the only product I have ever used that instantly showed what it can do. I have not read any negative reviews on it, either!
This is what it looks like and you can Get It Here. I plan on placing an order with my points and 20% off code (FIRST20OFF) soon, as I have used up my sample.
Don't get me wrong, I was terrified as I have never put oil on my already oily face. Despite my one girlfriend (who does it all the time and her face looks perfect) telling me to do so! But I charged on and did it and I was so glad I did. It is pricey but yes, a little goes a long way and the results are worth it and it keeps my skin pretty.....yes that is what I told my husband about spending $52 on oil.......
Are you a fan of Caudalie?
Do you use them all at once or finish one product and then use the others?
What other products of theirs should I be using?
Do you use a better detox oil that you recommend? I'd love to know!
Let me know in the comments below.

JAMBERRY & EVOLOGIE Reviews
As I am a relatively new blogger, I am trying to get the word out there as much as possible. And with your help it WILL happen! Actually, thank you all for making it so successful after only two weeks! I have had 716 views already :) Wonderful!
So today is a post about two companies that have sent me some products to try, free of charge.
Last week, I wrote a post about nail wraps. I was then in contact with Jamberry. Jamberry is a nail wrap company that provides a DIY at home application with an incredible variety of designs. In fact, I have never seen so many nail wrap options!! You can learn more about them here.
Here is what was sent to me.
This is just a small sample of some of their designs.
In fact, here is the back page of the pamphlet that was included.
Watermelon, Queen Anne, Leopard Tips??? I LOVE THEM!!!
There are so many patterns, styles, colors and shapes to look at, this doesn't even come close.
Check out the designs here!
Now, of course, when I got my samples I could not WAIT to try them. Since I have been using nail wraps for a while, I thought they would be just like all of the others. So I peeled off the pattern I wanted for my one nail and placed it on my finger.
Clearly, there is enough product here for me to do two nails and that is what I planned on doing. Since a nail file nor instructions came with my sample, I just did what I always did and cut the excess and manipulated it on my finger. This is not as flimsy as some other nail wraps I have used so I had a bit of difficulty but was able to make it work.
In retrospect, I should have gone to the website, but it was late and as always I am trying to get my nails done before I go to bed as it's the only time I have! :)
Here are the proper application instructions:
I am now going to have to do this next time and update this post! But even though I applied them wrong, they still looked great. I love how they are glossy, like my nails as most nail wraps don't match the polished nails so it definitely looks like they are stickers.
I was also skeptical on the sizes, as I did not think I would be able to use all the samples provided but now that I know I can use heat to stretch them out, I am sure I can!
You can place an order and buy 3 and get 1 free here!
What's also great, is you can become a hostess for a Jamberry party or join the team and be a consultant and get perks and compensation!! Who doesn't love free stuff! Click here to join today!
Request a free sample HERE! Please tell Sarah my blog sent you! :) Her email is at the top!! :)
What nail wraps have you used?
What is your favorite pattern?
Let me know in the comments below!
The second company that I was in contact with was Evologie. Evologie is an acne treatment that comes in a step by step program. They have a variety of stay clear products.
This is what I was given.
I spoke with Joann Cardello, who is amazing by the way! I told her the products that I have used and she explained to me why Evologie was different.
The biggest concern I had was that all natural products would not be powerful enough and that I would break out more because I was introducing a new product into my skin. NOPE! Didn't happen and I am very pleased with the results so far!
You can get the products here! Or if you want to get some Birchbox points, here! Shipping is free on both sites but it does look like the better value currently is with Birchbox.
What do you currently use to manage acne?
Are they all natural?

This is what I was given.
I spoke with Joann Cardello, who is amazing by the way! I told her the products that I have used and she explained to me why Evologie was different.
Many skincare products contain chemicals like benzoyl peroxide, which work only on the surface of your skin. As it extracts the oil, it dries the skin, creates micro cracks at the surface (allowing bacteria to enter) and the dryness causes your skin to produce more oil. The excess oil production and the new bacteria encourage new pimples to form. So, these products may work short-term, but they are not sustainable results and may come at the cost of damage to your skin. Evologie does not have benzoyl peroxide. It works gently and naturally to clear your blemishes at the surface and retain the water molecules so your skin stays hydrated. Evologie's YS3 complex also works beneath the surface of your skin to prevent blemishes where they start and retain your skins healthy level of hydration. Therefore, your skin is not dry and it does not produce excess oil - so you can have clear AND healthy skin long-term.
Now, I have been using the Intensive Blemish Serum (INTENSIVE BLEMISH SERUM is a potent treatment that rapidly resolves blemishes and pimples) and the Stay Clear Cream (STAY CLEAR CREAM keeps skin clear, moisturized, and helps reduce breakouts, post-blemish scarring, and skin discoloration) for 2 days now. Because (OF COURSE) I had gotten a few pimples to test the product with! And in all honesty, the pimples never made it past the surface of my skin! So, no painful pimples to deal with or be embarrassed about! Plus the Stay Clear Cream is so moisturizing, I don't have patches of dry skin on my face that can happen with other products I have used.
The biggest concern I had was that all natural products would not be powerful enough and that I would break out more because I was introducing a new product into my skin. NOPE! Didn't happen and I am very pleased with the results so far!
